हे देवी सरस्वती! आप चन्द्रमा, हिम और कुन्द पुष्प के समान श्वेत हैं तथा श्वेत वस्त्र धारण करती हैं। आपके हाथ में वीणा सुशोभित है और आप श्वेत कमल पर विराजमान हैं। ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, शिव आदि देवता आपकी पूजा करते हैं। आप मेरे अज्ञान और जड़ता को दूर करके मेरी रक्षा करें।

दोर्भिर्युक्ता चतुर्भिः स्फटिकमणिनिभै रक्षमालां दधाना

देवी चार भुजाओं वाली हैं और स्फटिक के समान चमकने वाली माला धारण करती हैं। उनके हाथों में श्वेत कमल, शुक और पुस्तक सुशोभित हैं। वे चन्द्रमा, शंख और स्फटिक के समान उज्ज्वल हैं। वाणी की देवी सदा प्रसन्न होकर मेरे मुख में निवास करें।

सुरासुरैः सेवितपादपंकजा करे विराजत्कमनीयपुस्तका ।
विरिंचिपत्नी कमलासनस्थिता सरस्वती नृत्यतु वाचि मे सदा ॥ ३ ॥

जिनके कमल समान चरणों की देवता और अन्य दिव्य शक्तियाँ सेवा करती हैं, जिनके हाथ में सुन्दर पुस्तक है, जो ब्रह्माजी की पत्नी और कमलासन पर विराजमान हैं—ऐसी देवी सरस्वती सदा मेरी वाणी में निवास करें।

सरस्वती सरसिजकेसरप्रभा तपस्विनी सितकमलासनप्रिया ।

सरस्वति नमस्तुभ्यं वरदे कामरूपिणि ।
विद्यारंभं करिष्यामि सिद्धिर्भवतु मे सदा ॥ ५ ॥

हे वरदान देने वाली देवी सरस्वती! मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ। मैं विद्या का आरम्भ करने जा रहा हूँ। मुझे सदैव ज्ञान, सफलता और सिद्धि प्राप्त हो।

सरस्वति नमस्तुभ्यं सर्वदेवि नमो नमः ।
शांतरूपे शशिधरे सर्वयोगे नमो नमः ॥ ६ ॥

हे सरस्वती देवी! आपको बार-बार प्रणाम। हे सभी देवियों की स्वरूपिणी, आपको नमस्कार। हे शांत स्वरूप वाली और चन्द्रमा को धारण करने वाली देवी, आपके सभी दिव्य रूपों को प्रणाम।
श्लोक ७
नित्यानन्दे निराधारे निष्कलायै नमो नमः ।
विद्याधरे विशालाक्षि शुद्धज्ञाने नमो नमः ॥ ७ ॥

हे नित्य आनन्द स्वरूपिणी और किसी बाहरी आधार से रहित देवी! आपको प्रणाम। हे विद्या की धारिणी, विशाल नेत्रों वाली और शुद्ध ज्ञान की स्वरूपिणी देवी, आपको बार-बार नमस्कार।

शुद्धस्फटिकरूपायै सूक्ष्मरूपे नमो नमः ।

मनोन्मनि महाभोगे वागीश्वरि नमो नमः ।

अर्धचंद्रजटाधारि चंद्रबिम्बे नमो नमः ।

अर्धचन्द्र को जटाओं में धारण करने वाली और चन्द्रमा के समान प्रकाशित देवी को प्रणाम। चन्द्र और सूर्य की दिव्य ज्योति धारण करने वाली देवी को बार-बार नमस्कार।

अणुरूपे महारूपे विश्वरूपे नमो नमः ।
अणिमाद्यष्टसिद्धायै आनन्दायै नमो नमः ॥ १५ ॥

जो अति सूक्ष्म रूप, विशाल रूप और सम्पूर्ण विश्वरूप में विद्यमान हैं, उन्हें प्रणाम। अणिमा आदि आठ सिद्धियाँ प्रदान करने वाली और आनन्द स्वरूपिणी देवी को नमस्कार।

ज्ञान विज्ञान रूपायै ज्ञानमूर्ते नमो नमः ।
नानाशास्त्र स्वरूपायै नानारूपे नमो नमः ॥ १६ ॥

ज्ञान और विज्ञान की स्वरूपिणी तथा ज्ञान की मूर्ति देवी को प्रणाम। अनेक शास्त्रों के रूप में विद्यमान और अनेक रूप धारण करने वाली देवी को नमस्कार।

पद्मजा पद्मवंशा च पद्मरूपे नमो नमः ।
परमेष्ठ्यै परामूर्त्यै नमस्ते पापनाशिनी ॥ १७ ॥

कमल से उत्पन्न, कमलवंश से सम्बद्ध और कमल के समान स्वरूप वाली देवी को प्रणाम। हे परम स्वरूपिणी और पापों का नाश करने वाली देवी, आपको मेरा नमस्कार।

महादेव्यै महाकाल्यै महालक्ष्म्यै नमो नमः ।
ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवायै च ब्रह्मनार्यै नमो नमः ॥ १८ ॥

महादेवी, महाकाली और महालक्ष्मी स्वरूपिणी को प्रणाम। ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और शिव की दिव्य शक्ति के रूप में स्थित तथा ब्रह्मस्वरूपिणी देवी को नमस्कार।

कमलाकरपुष्पा च कामरूपे नमो नमः ।
कपालिकर्मदीप्तायै कर्मदायै नमो नमः ॥ १९ ॥
📖 अर्थ
कमल और पुष्प के समान पवित्र स्वरूप तथा इच्छानुसार दिव्य रूप धारण करने वाली देवी को प्रणाम। दिव्य कर्म की ज्योति से प्रकाशित और कर्मों के फल देने वाली देवी को नमस्कार।
श्लोक २०
सायं प्रातः पठेन्नित्यं षण्मासात्सिद्धिरुच्यते ।
चोरव्याघ्रभयं नास्ति पठतां शृण्वतामपि ॥ २० ॥
📖 अर्थ
जो व्यक्ति प्रतिदिन प्रातः और सायंकाल इस स्तोत्र का पाठ करता है, उसे छह महीने में सिद्धि प्राप्त होने की बात कही गई है। इसका पाठ या श्रवण करने वाले को चोर, हिंसक पशु और अन्य भय से रक्षा प्राप्त होती है।

इत्थं सरस्वती स्तोत्रमगस्त्यमुनि वाचकम् ।
